I still remember the mix of excitement and anxiety I felt when I received the invitation to create a piece for the "G" brand's headquarters last year (can you guess who?). In the blink of an eye, a year has passed. From a raw construction site to the incredibly beautiful Gxxgle office, the artwork is finally complete!
I welcome anyone passing by No. 66, Yuandong Road to take a look at my beloved creations. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped during this time!
This time, the site is a floor-to-ceiling window that connects the office building to the outdoor sidewalk. I've created a fantastical realm where everyone can become the main character in their own story, wandering the line between reality and fantasy.
The scene transforms the six letters G-O-O-G-L-E into six distinct elf realms, with colors that are a creative interpretation of the brand's color palette. The main character is a little bunny named Gxxgler. As it runs through the forest, it meets different elves and sparks an imaginative dialogue.
Happiness, groundedness, creativity, talent, collaboration, and communication are the ideals I hold dear. :)
Meaning of the Elf Realms
G - Gaiety Elf The elves of the Land of Gaiety are all full of smiles and overflowing with happiness. They have beautiful love, family, and a happy life.
O - Open Mind Elf The elves of the Land of Openness live in glass spheres. Here, there are no secrets or hidden feelings, which makes them feel so safe and grounded.
O - Originality Elf The elves of the Land of Creativity are all full of imagination. Every day, they create and invent wondrous and magical spells.
G - Genius Elf The elves of the Land of Genius each have a special skill. They can fly through the sky and burrow through the ground; they have clairvoyant sight and hearing. Can you find the invisibility spell that's been seen through by x-ray vision?
L - League Elf The elves of the Land of League are all skilled at collaborating with others. Every day, they work together to complete various challenges, like building a house or constructing a bridge and a town.
E - Embrace Elf The elves of the Land of Embrace are all full of love, understanding, and tolerance. They spend their days listening with their hearts and communicating rationally. They have endless conversations and countless ideas.
